Over the course of a season, goaltenders can develop bad habits without guidance. In one of the toughest positions in sport, goaltenders need someone to focus on them to ensure they continue to improve and grow their game. A goaltending coach will attend your team practices once a week to ensure they are continuing to improve every time they are on the ice. Team Practice training will provide training that addresses skills each goaltender needs to develop without letting previous skills diminish
Private & Semi-Private Training is offered year round and is designed to focus on the areas that each individual needs to be developed. We aim to develop the areas of your game that require further assistance and through repetition while building long term habits. For those looking to make the most out of their training, pinpoint their weaknesses, and learn how to fix them without constraints, this is the option will provide exactly that. Adapt Goaltending offers private training classes from 8:
Private training is designed to give 1on1 individual training with a Professional Goalie Coach. Each session will be fresh while providing a consistent development on a skill. Athletes are given an opportunity to meet & discuss the areas they are looking to improve upon with the coach and then create a game plan based on their need.
We’ll work closely with you to build a plan designed for you and your preferences. A game plan should be designed to you and your style of play not someone else’s.
These lessons are designed for goalies to continue to develop their game at a consistent pace while doing so at an affordable rate. We’ll ensure each goalie is not only taught how to perform each skill but also the why’s, when & where to grow your hockey iq.
Goalies will practice in groups no larger than 2:1 (goalie to instructor) and athletes training can request a shooter.
Each session will provide 10 minutes of Skating, 10 minutes of puck handling and 30 minutes of technical/tactical training.
We are proud to offer Minor Hockey Associations professional goalie training in Toronto and around the GTA that would like to run weekly, monthly or annual training programs for goaltending development. We will develop programming for the season and work in collaboration with the association to organize these classes. We want to assist goalies within associations to ensure that there is long term plans for there development rather than goaltenders not being given a plan for them to have long ter
Adapt Goaltending offers two variations in clinics. Our immersive training clinic is designed to encompass skating, puck handling & shooting drills where each week the goaltenders will have the opportunity to build on skills they learned in previous weeks. These clinics are designed to allow goaltenders to improve at a consistent pace and build habits.
Each class will have 10 minutes of skating, 10 minutes dedicated to puck handling along with 30 minutes of shooting drills in controlled settings.
Association Puck Handling & Adaptive Skating Classes are split where goalie will learn to effectively stop pucks on rims, dump-ins on goal ,through and outside the dot-lines, make flat passes to your defense with two hands along with an abundance of other needed skills. Progressively goalies will learn to improve how they develop more than just initial reads.
Skating during this class will include patterns, edgework and lateral movement to make goaltenders calm, fluid and dynamic in the crease.
